These short phrases outline the core of our purpose. Our desire is for all to know the Creator God. This is done by sharing the Good News of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection and how following His commands and living by the teachings of the Bible result in experiencing new life. Living our lives in this manner impacts those around us. We call it living by a followerfirst philosophy.

Followerfirst is a system of thought according to which one willingly follows the Lord Jesus Christ with all one’s heart, mind, soul, and strength in every circumstance regardless of organizational position while submitting to fellow followers so that all might fulfill their God-given responsibilities. This perspective is based upon the understanding that when God created the first humans, He created them to follow. Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that human beings are most fulfilled when they are following Him. Life takes on an entirely new perspective when a person realizes, “In my being, I am a follower.”
Our current culture divides people into leaders and followers.
The world teaches us that being a leader is a strength, while being a follower is a weakness. The followerfirst way of thinking understands the individual as being a follower first, and acknowledges the strength in following.
All decisions of life are passed through a matrix which determines if the action is consistent with the commands of Jesus and the teachings of the Bible. This way of thinking is consistently applied whether the person is in the role of a leader or the role of a follower. The key to life fulfillment is to realize that in all of life’s decisions, we are followers first.
